Suggestion/information pool

Post by smoothiedoofie on Fri Oct 09, 2015 4:49 pm

Hello mad! Please, if u not going to change a host so at least change the max player number on your server! Server become unplayable when there is 20 and more people.
Have u considered to change a host for more stable gameplay? If i were u i rather pay extra for better host or closed servers permanently. Maybe its unfair u pay from your own pocket but how can u expect people to donate or subscribe when server cant keep gamepaly stable for more than 18-20 people? Its a PVP server and lag/ping/delay is important for players.

About the /shop in game:
Tweak price please for items like binoculars, 1000 coins is way too much... Also things like gas or carjack leave /buy the same but lower /sell. I mean subscription will be pointless if people will be able to farm coins so easily.
Fix dressing price, it costs 15 to buy and 25 to sell. After try it out i could make 50k in like 4mins.
Go through all item list if u care ofc.

Pls if u make general big changes to servers make a short posts on forum, so why yukon and pei were removed?

I have never run a server and dont know how difficult it is or not.
I dont know how things works but i would really suggest u to keep fewer server and make 1 lag free server with at least 30 players. How cant you understand that people would pay for playable stable server.

Put a vote and vote reward like other servers do.

Thanks for your input bud its appreciated, the problem I have is not the cost of servers, more the fact our popularity has grown and people log on from all over the world. Lagg is usually caused by the distance from the server people are connecting from. I have been working out the best timeout lvl to stop lagg spikes and try to keep people connecting. I have also added servers in verious locations to try and accommodated this. Im currently looking to get a dedicated 8 core 32gb Linux server located in the EU and run millersworld from that location. Would mean lagg free servers but a yearly cost of around £700 annually. As for Yukon and pei being removed, the server went down and until my provider fixed it I couldn't restart the servers. I do try and post all server outage information in the server status section on the forums. I am looking at all the issues on the servers and manage the resources I have at the moment daily to try resolve some of them, I want great servers as much as most.

Is £700 only for 1 server?? Is it possible somehow not to let people who are from far away join servers? Also there are so many hosts on google, they charge max of 1£ per slot, wont it change anything if u try to change a host? I also have checked other server and with at least 20 online they are lag free and i doubt they pay even more than u do for server. Also what Washington servers location is in europe?
I know donation is important to keep server alive but currently (at least me and couple of friends) getting pings spikes when its only 20 people online. I doubt people will donate for unplayable server. Its only my opinion tho.
Ill put suggestion later this week what should be tweaked in shop.

No bud it a full server for £700 not one game servers. I can host multiple game servers on it and give them say 6gb of ram each. Allowing full 48 player game servers.

Mad, when do u think u will be able to make your dedicated server? Will it take days, weeks or months?
Is there anything that prevents to do it sooner?

Ok all servers have now been migrated along with shop SQL dB and teamspeak server to the new dedicated server.  Specs are good at 8 cores 32gig ram and 2x 250g ssds. I havernt decided if I'm gonna host all the website and forum on it yet. Lagg should now only be caused by distance from the server, which is in Germany.
